Best mind mapping apps for personal use
Personal mapping has a different job from a team workshop: it has to help you think now and remember what matters later.

Everything here describes what each tool is built for, not what it costs. Pricing and plan limits change often, so check the vendor's own page for current figures, and note that HeadTidy is made by one person, not a company with a sales team.
Choose by the job
HeadTidy is strongest when a personal map needs to carry notes, dates, repeating work, checklists and a clear next move. It is deliberately not the best choice for every team, diagram or knowledge-base workflow.
HeadTidy works when
- You want a visual personal workspace that works in a browser and offline.
- You want tasks, habits, dates and small tables close to the ideas they belong to.
- You want a free starting point with portable exports.
It does not when
- You need real-time multiplayer facilitation, enterprise administration or specialist diagram layouts.
- Your main deliverable is a polished presentation rather than a living personal map.
