About HeadTidy
HeadTidy is an independent mind-mapping app built by Rene Reede for people who need somewhere calm to think, plan and remember what matters.
Why it exists
Ideas rarely arrive already sorted. They begin as unfinished thoughts, obligations, notes and connections. HeadTidy was created to let those things land quickly, then become clearer without turning organization into another job.
The product combines a spatial canvas with practical cards for notes, tasks, habits, dates and small tables. The aim is not to reproduce an office suite. It is to keep the whole picture visible while the useful detail stays close to the idea it belongs to.

Built by one person
HeadTidy is designed and developed by Rene Reede in Vilnius, Lithuania. Being independently built keeps the product focused: features have to earn their place, advanced controls stay contextual, and the default experience remains deliberately simple.

The promises behind the product
- Your data should remain yours. Maps can be exported as JSON, Markdown, OPML, PNG or PDF.
- Calm is a product requirement. New capabilities should reduce work or remain out of the way until needed.
- AI should assist rather than take control. Suggested structures and connections require review before changing a map.
- Leaving should be possible. Core exports and access to existing work are not used as lock-in.

The HeadTidy Guide is based on the same product principles and on practical use of visual planning rather than generic generated advice.
