Rereading is not the test
Familiar words can feel known because the page supplies the answer. The Exam Sprint reverses the order: write three questions from the page, hide the source, answer from memory, and only then check. A blank or uncertain answer is not failure; it is the useful evidence that decides what to review.
Review only the miss
Do not restart the whole chapter after one weak answer. Keep the questions you recalled out of the next pass and queue only the miss. Ask it again tomorrow before rereading. That keeps the sprint short enough to repeat and makes improvement visible.
After a page on photosynthesis, ask why leaves look green, how water moves upward, and where photosynthesis happens. Answer with the notes closed. If xylem is the only gap, review xylem and leave chlorophyll and chloroplasts alone until the next retrieval pass.
